Frequently Asked Questions

What People Ask Us Most

For residents, families, and referral partners.

What is sober living and how is it different from rehab?
Sober living is structured housing, not a clinical treatment program. Residents live together in a substance-free home with house rules, weekly meetings, and peer accountability while managing their own daily lives. Rehab provides licensed clinical treatment. Sober living provides a stable, structured home environment to continue recovery after treatment. Many residents attend IOP while living with us. Read our full guide on sober living vs. rehab →
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
We are private pay. Shared beds at our Trudy Lane location are $1,400 per month ($1,100 room and board plus $300 program fee), with a $1,100 security deposit at move-in. Pricing varies by location and room type. Full rooms are available at a higher rate — call to inquire. All rates include all utilities. We do not accept insurance. Call 725-726-8582 for current pricing at all locations.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Sober living is classified as housing, not clinical treatment, so health insurance does not cover it. We are private pay only. Most residents pay through personal income, family support, disability benefits, or savings. Insurance may separately cover outpatient therapy or IOP you attend while living with us.
What medications are allowed?
All legally prescribed medications are accepted with no restrictions. This includes buprenorphine/Suboxone at any dose, methadone with attendance at a licensed OTP, naltrexone/Vivitrol in any form, all psychiatric medications, and any other prescription your doctor has ordered. We are fully MAT-friendly with zero exceptions. Read our full MAT guide →
How quickly can someone move in?
We respond the same day to all inquiries. If a bed is available and intake is complete, placement can happen within 24 to 48 hours. We move quickly for time-sensitive situations including treatment discharges, court deadlines, and housing crises.
Do I need to have completed treatment first?
We strongly prefer residents who have completed a residential or outpatient treatment program. If you have not completed a formal program, call us and we will talk through whether our homes are the right fit for your specific situation.
Is there a curfew and drug testing?
Yes to both. Drug testing is required at intake and conducted randomly throughout residency. House rules include curfews and clear expectations around behavior, guests, and participation in weekly house meetings. Full house rules are provided at intake.
Can someone stay as long as they need to?
Yes. There is no maximum length of stay. We do not put artificial time limits on residency as long as a resident is in good standing with house rules and current on payments. Stability is the point.
Are the homes co-ed?
Yes, our homes are co-ed with gender-separated rooms and shared common areas. This is communicated clearly to all residents at intake and governed by house rules.
Do you work with drug court, probation, or attorneys?
Yes. We work regularly with drug court coordinators, probation officers, and criminal defense attorneys who need to document stable housing for their clients. We respond same-day and provide written placement confirmation for legal purposes. Read our drug court housing guide →
Where are your homes located?
Our primary location is 7439 Trudy Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89123. We also operate additional homes throughout the Las Vegas valley. Addresses for other properties are provided during intake. Call for current availability.
What happens if a resident relapses?
The safety and integrity of the house community always comes first. Residents who test positive may be asked to leave and enter detox before returning. We handle these situations with compassion and on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is not to punish, but to protect the community and support the person in getting back on track.
